In the context of qualitative data analysis methods in social sciences, it is noticeable that there are conceptual and intellectual deficiencies in the literature. In this study, a descriptive analysis based on literature review about qualitative data analysis methods was conducted. The purpose of this review is to explain what qualitative research means, to reveal which interests the philosophy of qualitative research is based on, and to explain what data analysis methods are with examples. In the descriptive survey, qualitative data analyses were expressed as thematic analysis, descriptive analysis and content analysis. Qualitative research is a type of research that focuses on the realities of social life and deals with human, nature and object relations.n the descriptive survey, qualitative data analyses were expressed as thematic analysis, descriptive analysis and content analysis. Qualitative research is a type of research that focuses on the realities of social life and deals with human, nature and object relations. The main characteristic of qualitative research, which focuses on questions such as “how” and “why” in response to questions such as” how much”, “how many” and “at what rate” of quantitative research, is not that it searches for social realities in the mechanical, concrete and external world, but that individuals can search for them in their lifestyle, world of meaning and mind. As a matter of fact, social realities make it possible to understand the way of thinking, culture, values and norms of social groups or individuals.s a matter of fact, social realities make it possible to understand the way of thinking, culture, values and norms of social groups or individuals. Qualitative research, instead of measuring or testing, can focus on the perceptions of social groups or individuals, phenomena and events, experiences, opinions about a particular topic, lifestyle, beliefs, symbols and values. As a matter of fact, in cases where quantitative research is insufficient to measure or understand, qualitative research methods can provide an alternative to the researcher in understanding, interpreting and describing the causes of human behavior.s a matter of fact, in cases where quantitative research is insufficient to measure or understand, qualitative research methods can provide an alternative to the researcher in understanding, interpreting and describing the causes of human behavior. Due to the fact that quantitative research is insufficient to understand and analyze some events, facts and situations, qualitative research, which comes to the fore, may create differences in the context of understanding and learning non-numerical data sets. Qualitative research, research that is often used in social sciences, which can provide data collection by data collection methods such as observation, participatory observation, focus group interview and in-depth interview in the natural environments of the group or individuals being investigated, can be called qualitative research.ualitative research, research that is often used in social sciences, which can provide data collection by data collection methods such as observation, participatory observation, focus group interview and in-depth interview in the natural environments of the group or individuals being investigated, can be called qualitative research. Qualitative research can provide rich and detailed data that is multidimensional, and can focus on social contexts, relationships and motivations rather than causes and effects.
